In 2015, Victor moved to California and founded Fort Ross Ventures, a management company that focuses on startup investments in the United States, Israel, and Russia. Today, the company manages $345 million, invested in more than 25 companies, has several exits, including two companies that made an IPO and several companies were sold to Fortune 500 companies. The fund’s interests include fintech, machine learning and artificial intelligence, marketplaces, the Internet of things, as well as highly loaded IT-platforms, where the technology helps to optimize the infrastructure. In the fund, Victor pays special attention to investing and establishing relations with companies located in Silicon Valley and Israel, opens their doors to the markets of Russia, the CIS countries, Central and Eastern Europe, using his industry knowledge and partnerships with the largest corporations in these regions. For more than 20 years, Victor headed technological units at major banks such as ABN AMRO, Alfa Bank and Sberbank, where, as Chief Technology Officer, he was directly involved in the largest digital transformation program in the banking industry.
