Fort Ross Ventures
In 2015, Victor moved to California and founded Fort Ross Ventures, a management company centering around startup investment in the USA, Israel and Russia. At the moment, the company manages 345 million USD and has invested in more than 25 companies, there are several exits with IPO made by two companies and several businesses sold to Fortune 500 companies. The fund’s areas of interest include: fintech, machine learning and artificial intelligence, marketplaces, Internet of things, as well as highly loaded IT platforms where technology helps to optimize infrastructure. In the Fund, Victor pays special attention to investing and building relationships with companies located in Silicon Valley and Israel, opening doors to them in the markets of Russia, CIS countries, Central and Eastern Europe, using his industry expertise and partnerships with major corporations in these regions. For over 20 years, Victor headed technology units at such major banks as ABN AMRO, Alfa-Bank and Sberbank, where, as Chief Technology Officer, he was directly involved in the most large-scale digital transformation program in the banking industry. He is the author of the book “From Rhinoceros to Unicorn. How to get a company through transition to digital age and avoid death traps”.
