Vic Kapur is the founder of VisionPassage which invests in strong founders with a tight use-case agnostic to stage, industry and location. Current investment rounds range from $900,000 Pre-Seed to $100 million Series B in consumer, enterprise and government segments across the United States.
Vic is a startup investor with a former operating background in sales, software & systems engineering and solutions consulting at startups with five exits – $19M, $55M, $190M, $450M and $1.2B, to Capgemini (IGATE), Cisco Systems, Hitachi, Partners Group (Swiss Private Equity) and Qualcomm, followed by his experience at a publicly-traded company that grew from $25 billion valuation to $100+ billion in under seven years.
Vic has a joint master’s degree (Information Networking) in business, computer science and electrical & computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon. He leads the alumni outreach and recognition committee for his graduate program. He completed his undergraduate degree with university honors in computer engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He was the technical editor of the college magazine and was published in local newspapers. He is deeply involved in both schools and has investments in multiple alumni founder startups.
