Tala Al Jabri is an investor in growth stage tech startups and has worked across the Middle East, Africa, and US. She was previously an investor at SoftBank Vision Fund where she led deal flow coverage for Middle East and Africa. Earlier, she served as the Head of Government Strategy & Markets at Dow Chemical Saudi Arabia, and worked at Oliver Wyman, Monitor Group and The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency.
Tala is a mentor to VCs and entrepreneurs at organizations such as Redshift Partners, the Cherie Blair Foundation and Hult Prize. She serves on the advisory board of Stratecis and is a founding member of Saudi Arabia’s angel investment fund. She was elected in January 2020 to serve on Saudi Arabia’s B20 (“Business”) Digitalization Task Force as part of the G20. Tala has contributed for such publications as Forbes Middle East, Entrepreneur Magazine, Wharton Impact Investing Partners, and Khaleej Times.
She completed her MBA at the Wharton School, MPA at Harvard University and Bachelors at McGill University in Finance and Women’s Studies.
