Shailendra Mahajan was recognized by CB Insights as ’15 Smart People in Healthcare’ in 2018. He is co-founder and managing director of Maxim Ventures, a $200m fund focusing on late stage (Series B) medical device companies enabled by semiconductors. Over the past 25 years, he has acquired broad experience in system design, field sales/applications, strategic marketing and business unit. Mahajan is recognized for his ability to uncover excellent business opportunities and mentor entrepreneurs.
He serves/served as a board observer for toSense (acquired by Baxter), LVL (acquired by Gideon), Spire Health, Unaliwear, Sotera Wireless, Evergaze, HD Medical, Sarvint , Nexpaq and Valor fire safety. He is also an Independent Board of Director in a telemedicine company.
He is a Sponsor/Mentor/advisor for Medtech Innovator, TMCx and Mass Challenge and also judged startup pitch competitions organized by J&J, Silicon Valley Bank, Exponential Medicine, Medtech Innovator and Texas A&M.
He is a NACD fellow since 2018.
Mahajan earned a MSEE from Texas A&M. He has also taken executive management courses at Stanford University, UC-Berkeley and UT Austin.
