Negar is an entrepreneur with several years of experience investing in disruptive technologies in the areas of energy, environment, materials, construction and industrial. Negar brings 10 years of experience in early stage product development and commercialization at top-tier engineering companies and startups across US and Canada.
Previously she was a venture capital investor at SK Telecom Ventures, venture partner at NextGen Venture Partners, Entrepreneur in Residence at SRI International and investor at Presidio Partners where she invested in disruptive deep science-driven technologies. She also founded Cemsica, a startup that develops advanced nanomaterial technologies. She has been the winner of NASA prize in Rice Business Plan Competition, the winner of Wharton Venture Award and Finalist in Caltech, LBS and Steve Case competitions. In addition, earlier in her career she was a senior mechanical engineer at Schlumberger, Halliburton and WorleyParsons.
Negar has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
