Marc has spent his 25+ year career at the intersection of tech and emerging markets, as both a venture capital investor and as a company operator/co-founder.
Before ArcTern, Marc was COO and co-founder at Unata, an enterprise software platform for grocery retailers across North America. Marc jointly led all growth efforts from concept to double digit $M recurring revenue base (and profitability), culminating in the successful acquisition by Instacart in early 2018.
Previously Marc was an investment Partner with both the BlackBerry Partners Fund and Summerhill Venture Partners (formerly BCE Capital), two technology focused venture capital funds. He’s lived through all stages of investment lifecycles experiencing both the learnings and merits of several successful nine figure exit events as well as the critical lessons of market failures.
Marc has a BASc in Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He lives in Toronto with his wife and two kids, enjoys a broad range of activities (squash, hockey, golf, cycling) and is an aspiring kite surfer.
