Judy Li drives investment activity at Energy Foundry, an early-stage cleantech venture fund in Chicago. She manages deal flow and moves potential investments forward from the first introduction through due diligence to final investment. Additionally, she supports startups in Energy Foundry’s portfolio and holds advisory roles with top cleantech incubators and accelerators.
Prior to Energy Foundry, Judy conducted over a hundred energy efficiency assessments and sold dozens of retrofitting projects for a local startup, Verde Sustainable Solutions (now Verde: Energy Efficiency Experts). Before moving to Chicago, Judy was a Princeton in Asia Fellow with the Natural Resources Defense Council in Beijing, where she worked with Chinese cities on sustainable urban development policy.
Judy received her Bachelor of Science cum laude from University of California, Berkeley, with a double major in Environmental Science and Environmental Economics & Policy, and a minor in Energy Resources. She enjoys exploring, scuba diving and cycling.
