Joseph spent the first decade of his career working in both the supply and demand side of the energy industry with global leaders GE and Arup. During this time he worked with CO2 capture, gas turbines, wind, solar fuel cells, microgrids and high performance buildings. The second decade of Joseph’s career he spent working to advance the energy industry through research and commercialization. At Georgia Tech Research Institute he led a solar technology incubator and at the Rocky Mountain Institute he focused on utility market development and embodied carbon. Since 2019, he has leveraged his whole-systems expertise to deploy risk capital into the new energy economy.
