Craig C. Taylor heads the life science investments at Alloy Ventures. He has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics from Brown University and an MBA from Stanford University. He worked at the Stanford Office of Technology Licensing shortly after it was started. He started his career in venture capital in 1977 when he joined Pitch Johnson at Asset Management Company. In 1996 he co-founded Alloy Ventures continuing a focus in early stage investing and company formation.

He and his partners have invested in over one hundred companies. In the last decades of his career, Craig has focused on life sciences. The life science companies span research tools, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and other technology with applications in biology. His personal interests have moved towards research tools that enable new insights into biology, both normal and diseased, and the application of new biological knowledge.
