Mr. Clapp is a Managing Director of CIG CAP, a Michigan provider of debt capital for mid stage companies and large real estate projects.
Previously he was Managing Partner of Arctaris Capital Partners which provided royalty-based financing to expansion stage companies, and before that, Managing Partner of Brook Venture Fund I and II. He was a Partner at Downer & Company, a transatlantic investment-banking firm with offices in Boston and Paris; President of Equifax Research, a division of Equifax, Inc.; Manager of the Corporate Development Unit at Arthur D. Little, Inc.; and founder and CEO of Cambridge Corporation which published a number of merger & acquisition publications and directories which was sold to Securities Data, a division of Thompson Group.
Mr. Clapp is or has been a Director of numerous companies including Norwich Technologies, Hamilton Thorne Biosciences, Inc., Affordable Interior Systems, Inc., iMakeNews, BioScan, Wandrian, Mobile Medical, DataCom Systems, Lexington Software and other early growth stage companies. He has been a mentor for MassChallenge.
Mr. Clapp is a graduate of Clarkson University where he received a B.S. and from Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College where he received his MBA.
