Alison Gerlach has over 20 years of experience as an executive, serial entrepreneur, strategic consultant, investor, and lecturer with expertise in building ventures.
Ms. Gerlach has focused on optimizing the business start-¬up and funding process and has founded, built and sold businesses. Her initial experience in strategy consulting was with Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Today, Ms. Gerlach builds and invests in ventures as the Managing Partner of Breakthrough Ventures. Ms. Gerlach sits on the board of academic initiatives, venture funds, and select early stage ventures. She hosts the podcast, “The Unapologetic Capitalist.” Ms. Gerlach has served on faculty at Cornell University and San Diego State University. She is a frequent lecturer at top universities and corporations around the country on Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Negotiation, and Conflict Management.
Ms. Gerlach earned her MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and her BA in economics and mathematics from Cornell University.
