Alison Gerlach has over 20 years of experience as a seasoned executive, serial entrepreneur, consultant, investor, and lecturer with expertise in building businesses. Ms. Gerlach has extensively researched optimizing the business start-¬up and funding process and has founded businesses in a variety of industries. She started her career as a management consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton working with Fortune 100 consumer companies.
Today, Ms. Gerlach builds and invests in high growth companies as the Managing Partner of Breakthrough Ventures. Ms. Gerlach sits on the board of academic initiatives, venture funds, and select ventures. She is the host of the podcast, “The Unapologetic Capitalist” focusing on venture value creation.
Ms. Gerlach is an active academic having served on faculty as well as advisor and lecturer at top universities.
Ms. Gerlach earned her MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and BA in economics and mathematics from Cornell University.
