James is executive director, corporate development for TriNet, where he focuses on new product initiatives, mergers & acquisitions and partnerships. James joined TriNet in 2016 when it acquired Teleborder, an immigration and global mobility startup that he co-founded. Teleborder was backed by Khosla Ventures, Y Combinator, and other leading investors. Before becoming an entrepreneur, James passed the New York bar exam at the age of 20 and practiced law on Wall Street. In 2015 he was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list. He also serves as an advisor at Y Combinator’s Startup School. James holds a bachelor of laws from King’s College London and a juris doctor from Columbia Law School.
